Abstract

Students have many academic demands that must be met and they are required to survive in difficult circumstances and then overcome the challenges they face. This study aims to determine the profile of academic resilience in students who experience academic procrastination at SMA Negeri 13 Palembang. This research is a descriptive quantitative research by presenting data in the form of percentage figures. The population in this study were students of class X science at SMA Negeri 13 Palembang with a total of 298 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, namely students who were identified as having academic procrastination based on information from subject teachers with a total of 78 samples. Data collection techniques using an academic resilience scale. Analyzed using the percentage formula. The results showed that 59 students (76%) had academic resilience in the medium category. Specifically, the research results based on aspects (1) Confidence (self belief) is in the medium category 87%, (2) Control (a sense of control) is in the medium category 82%, (3) Composure (low anxiety) is in the medium category 87% and ( 4) Commitment (persistence) in the medium category 73%. Meanwhile, 80% of male students' academic resilience is in the moderate category, and 83% of female students are in the moderate category. So it can be concluded that Students who experience academic procrastination in class X IPA for the 2021/2022 academic year are quite able to survive in social situations in a new environment.
