Abstract

This study analyzes the basis of female voters in voting and the process of female voters ' preferences in voting in the Ogan ilir election which was held in 2020. The data collection techniques is done by means of observation , interviews and documentation . The research method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach . The results of this study indicate that women's preferences in choosing are based on the influence of the vision and mission of each candidate . In addition , the historical background of each candidate be it family background , previous position to the background of the party promoted by each candidate to be the basic support in shaping the preferences of each voter . This also shows the awareness and critical mindset of voters who have a background as a student and at the same time participates in a student organization in a regional scope , namely KMOI .
