Abstract
The objective of this research was to study production of organic zinc feed supplement with tapioca waste fermented by using Aspergillus niger. This reseach held for two months from July to August 2009 in Animal Nutrition and Feed Laboratory Agriculture Faculty of Sriwijaya University. Completely Randomized Design with four treatments and three replications: OFO (control), OF1 (tapioca waste fermented + 5% ZnS04), OF2 (tapioca waste fermented + 10% ZnS04), OF3 (tapioca waste fermented + 15% ZnS04) were used. Observed parameters were microbial growth population, crude protein (CP), microbial biomass product (MBP), yield fermentation, zinc concentration, and solubility of organic zinc. The result showed that concentration of microbial growth population and crude protein (CP) were higest at OF3 treatment. Addition of ZnS04 up to 15% (OF3) gives significantly result (P<0.05) on microbial biomass product (MBP) and yield fermentation. Zn concentration increase pararel with addition of ZnS04 and gives the stability on solubility test. Tapioca waste fermentation with addition of 15% ZnS04 produce best organic zinc feed supplement.
