Abstract
The objective in this research was to utilize nitrogen feltilizer to increase the nutrient content of swamp grass. This research arranged by using Factorial Randomizad Complete Design with four levels of urea fertilizer consentrations (0 g urea / 10 kg soils, 0,2717 g urea / 10 kg soils, 0,5434 g urea /10 kg soils, and 0,8152 g urea / 10 kg soils) and three kinds of swamp grass (Hymenachne amp/exicaulis, Ischaemum rugosum, and Oryza rufipogon) which each treatments combination was replicated two times. Each sample was analyzed at the day after first defoliation based dry matter, crude ash content, crude protein content, crude fat content, crude fiber content, and extract matter without nitrogen (BETN) parameters. The result showed that nitrogen fertilizer had potential to increase the nutrient content of swamp grass. From result, it showed that if kind of grass, nitrogen fertilizer dose, and interact both of them was give a different significant response (P<0,05) for all parameter. The conclusion in this researches showed that the best result for crude ash content, crude protein, crude fat, and BETN, of Hymenachne amplexicaulis grass with adding nitrogen fertilizer 0,54 g.
