Abstract
This study entitled "Development of Media Mini Book Display Based Themes To Read Beginnings Child Group B in kindergarten Tower Fitrah Indralaya" has the objective to produce a mini-book display-based theme to read the beginning of the children in group B which serves to produce vowel and kosonan, read the words, read simple sentences. The development of this medium uses a combination of Rowntree's development model and Tessmer's evaluation. Rowntree development model consists of three stages, namely the planning stage, development stage and evaluation phase. In the evaluation phase, formative evaluation proposed by Tessmer consists of four stages, namely selfevaluation stage, expert review, one-to-one evaluation and small group evaluation. Data collection techniques use observation and walkthrough. From the results obtained product expert reviews mini book display one to three earned an average value of 3.93% with a very valid category corresponding aspects of assessment of materials and product design which means it is easy to understand the contents of books, media work productivity able to foster learning convenience and speed media work can improve children's learning motivation. Media mini-book display otherwise practically be seen from stage one to one evaluation, and small group evaluaion with the results of the average value of 88% and 95% (both categories once) which means that the child can be stimulated cognitively because the media has an element of the language used in accordance with enhanced spelling and easy-to-carry media. Suggestions for advanced researchers is to examine the potential impact of learning media mini book illustrated to read the beginning of the child.
