Abstract
The purpose of this research was to know the influence of adding nitrogen fertilizer and grass species on fiber fraction content ofswamp grass. The research has been done from Juli to February 2007 at Green house of Department Agronomy and Nutrition Laboratory, Agricultural Faculty Sriwijaya University. This research was used completely randomized factorialy design with four treatments and each treatment consist of two replications. The replication was combination ofthree species ofswamp grass and four level ofnitrogen fertilizer. The parameter observed was Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF), Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF), Hemicelulosa, Selulosa and Lignin. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (Anova) and different between treatment was analyzed by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT)The using of N fertilizer on swamp grass species on this current research,could be concluded that from three of swamp grass species obtained of fiber that lower than on Oryza rtrfipogon however has a lignin content more than swamp grass other.
