Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of N fertilizer at second cutting stage on fiber fraction content Hymenachne amplexicaulis, Ischaemum rugosom dan Oryza rufipogon. This research was held on January to March 2008 in greenhouse Department of Agronomy, and Animal feed and Nutrition Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University. The research was continuing ofthe previous research. Factorial methods were used with 2 factors, the first factor was dosage of Nitrogen fertilizer, which consisted of; 0 kg/ha (Nq) , 25kg/ha (Ni), 50kg/ha (N2) and 75kg/ha (N3). The second factor was used three swamp grass species; Hymenachne amplexicaulis (Ri), Ischaemum rugosom (R2) dan Oryza rufipogon (R3). Observed parameters were Neutral Detergent Fiber (%), Acid Detergent Fiber (%), cellulose (%), hemicellulose (%) and lignin (%) content. According to result of the research, fiber fraction content influenced by interaction between dosage of N fertilizer and swamp grass species on the Neutral Detergent Fiber, Acid Detergent Fiber, cellulose, and hemicellulose content. Meanwhile there was no interaction in lignin content.
