Abstract

The purpose of the study was to define the effect of using rice bran fermented with tape yeast on egg quality of Silver Arabian Chicken (,Brakel Kriel Silver). The research was done from December 2004 until January 2005 in the Research Center of Sapi Dwiguna and Ayam Sembawa. The experiment was arranged in a Completely Randomized Design with five treatments and four replication. The treatments were P0 (100% basal diets + 0% rice bran fermented), P1 (92,5% diets + 7,5% rice bran fermented), P2 (85% diets + 15% rice bran fermented), P3 (77,5% diets + 22,5% rice bran fermented), and P4 (70% diets + 30% rice bran fermented).The parameters defined were egg weight, percentage of egg component, the shell thickness and Haugh Unit. The result of research indicated that using rice bran fermented had no effect egg quality of Silver Arabian Chicken {Brakel kriel-silver), but it can reduce the priece until 15,62% for a kilogram diets.
