Abstract

Water treatment with membrane technology is currently developing rapidly which has a positive impact on human life, especially in the field of seawater and wastewater treatment. The filtration process using membranes is known as a fast process, this new technology is widely used in the production of high quality pure water. This is due to low energy consumption, simple processes, low costs, use of fewer or no chemicals, and environmental compatibility. The author added as much as 2% TiO2 and to find out how much tensile strength and surface microstructure analysis and the ability of the membrane to filter water could be produced optimally with the maximum limit of the main base material Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) as much as 24, 25, 26 wt%. Where the 26 wt% fraction has the best tensile stress with an average yield of 0.286 kN/mm2 and has a microstructure on a tighter surface than the other fractions, which results in a lower flux value compared to the 24 and 25 wt% fractions
