Abstract

The software engineering and information systems laboratory of Sriwijaya University is a laboratory that continues to make updates and facilitates students in developing and implementing information technology. The management process carried out at the laboratory is still running manually, causing several problems in managing lab inventory, arranging lab usage schedules, making attendance to lab assistants, and monitoring lab reports. Therefore, the author offers a lab management information system by adopting ISO/IEC 17025:2017 as standardization of laboratory management systems to improve laboratory quality. The management information system is implemented in the form of a website built using the Framework for the Application System Thinking (FAST) system development method. This research produces a management information system in the form of a website that can help with problems in the laboratory and can assist the entire academic community at Fasilkom in obtaining information related to laboratories. This is expected to improve the quality of the laboratory and assist the performance of the laboratory structure in improving the performance of its services.
