Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of producing teaching materials for wood and pulp chemistry courses on wood biological degradation by Microorganisms sub materials as a supplement to teaching materials for students of the chemical education study program sriwijaya university that have valid criteria. In this study, the 4S TMD (Four Steps Teaching Material Development) research model was used which consisted of four stages, namely selection, structuring, characterization and didactic reduction. After testing the validity of the material, which was carried out by two material expert lecturers. Obtained a value of 0,9444. Based on the score, it shows that the sub materials produced have reached the valid criteria.
