Abstract

Cu�ing StockProblem(CSP)isaproblemofcu�ingstockswithcertaincu�ingrules.Thisstudyusedthedataofrectangular stocks,whichcutintotriangularshapeitemswithvariousordersizes.TheModifiedBranchandBoundAlgorithm(MBBA) was usedtodeterminetheoptimumcu�ingpa�ernthenformulateditintothe3-PhaseMatheuristicmodelwhichconsisted of constructivephase,improvementphase,andcompactionphase.Basedontheresults,itshowedthattheMBBAproduces threeoptimumcu�ingpa�erns,whichwasusedsixtimes,eighttimes,andfourtimesrespectivelytofulfilltheconsumer demand. Thenthecu�ingpa�ernswereformulatedintothe3-PhaseMatheuristicmodelwhereastheoptimumsolutionwas the minimumtrimlossforthefirst,secondandthirdpa�erns.
