Abstract

Learning motivation plays an important role in the learning process to achieve learning goals with maximum results, someone who lacks learning motivation will be less than optimal in the learning process. This research is to find out how the learning motivation of students with low academic resilience in the FKIP guidance and counseling study program, at Sriwijaya University. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The study population was 163 students with sampling techniques using purposive sampling, the total sample was 32 students with low academic resilience. Data collection uses a learning motivation scale with data analysis techniques using percentages (%). The results of the study obtained data on 19% in the low category, 69% in the medium category, and 13% in the high category. So it can be concluded that the learning motivation of students with low academic resilience is classified as having learning motivation in the moderate category. So there should be efforts to increase motivation to learn both from within and from outside of themselves so that they have high fighting power, by providing support and encouragement from people around them, both from the campus and lecturers to provide positive influences from outside so that students can adapt, rise and survive their academic problems.
