Abstract

ABSTRACT Based on the findings of the researchers in the field, it was revealed that students who did academic procrastination basically often underestimated and thought that there was still a lot of time available to do assignments which eventually caused problems for the students themselves. This study aims to determine the significant relationship between Time Management and Academic Procrastination in Guidance and Counseling Study Program Students Class of 2020 Sriwijaya University. The population in this study was the Guidance and Counseling Study Program Students Class of 2020 Sriwijaya University, totaling 82 students, the sampling technique used was Total Sampling. In this study, the type of research is quantitative with correlational research methods, using time management scale data collection methods and academic procrastination scales obtained through the distribution of instruments through Google forms. Data analysis using the Person Product Moment method with the help of the SPSS version 26 application so that the results of the correlation coefficient rxy = -861 and p =0.000 (p<0.05) means that there is a negative and significant relationship between Time Management and Academic Procrastination in Guidance Study Program Students and Counseling for the Class of 2020 Sriwijaya University. The meaning of this negative relationship is that the higher the time management, the lower the academic procrastination, or vice versa if the lower the time management, the higher the academic procrastination.
