Abstract
Solar energy is energy in the form of light and heat from the sun. This energy will produce electrical energy using photovoltanic (PV). The electrical energy generated can be utilized on the Self-balance Scooter. The problem with this tool is that the device must be charged first and then it can be used. From this problem, the author will implement the utilization of solar power into the form of electrical energy in the Self-balance Scooter as a power supply system (direct) and battery charging (backup). In this final project, the author uses a solar panel/photovoltaic (PV) as a power generator, a solar charge controller regulates traffic from the solar cell to the battery and load, and a battery that functions to store electric current (backup power supply) generated by the solar panel before used to move the load.
