Abstract

The objective of this research was to know optimal level of lysine addition to basal feed on the performance of arabian chick (Silver brakel kriet) cock starter phase. This research was held for 2 months on Balai Pembibitan Ternak Unggul Sapi Dwiguna dan Ayam Sembawa Banyuasin. Completely Randomized Design was used in this research with 5 treatments; L0 (100% + 0% lysine basal diet), L1 (100% basal diet + 0.01% lysine), L2 (100% basal diet + 0.015% lysine), L3 (100% basal diet + 0.02% lysine) and L4 (100% basal diet + 0.025% lysine) each treatments was replicated four times. parameters were feed consumption, body weight gain and feed efficiency. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance and Duncan Multiple Range Test which is used to determine significant result between treatment means. The research showed that lysine supplementation give significant result on consumption, body weight gain and feed efficiency. It was concluded that 0.015% lysine supplementation give the best result on performance Arabian chick (Silver brakel kriet) cock starter phase with total lysine 0.756%.
