Abstract

ASI merupakan makanan yang mencukupi kebutuhan pada bayi, semua yang terdapat dalam ASI sebagian besar dapat menentukan pertumbuhan maupun perkembangan bayi. Ketidaklancaran pengeluaran ASI menjadi salah satu penyebab ibu tidak memberikan ASI eksklusif kepada anaknya. Salah satu faktor yang dapat memperlancar pengeluaran ASI adalah dengan melakukan perawatan payudara pada ibu menyusui. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan perawatan payudara pada ibu menyusui dengan kelancaran pengeluaran ASI. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 79 responden dengan menggunakan metode non probability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis statistik dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji chi-square. Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan p value 0,000 (α ≤ 0,05) yang menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan perawatan payudara pada ibu menyusui dengan kelancaran pengeluaran ASI. Perawatan payudara yang dilakukan dengan baik setiap hari dapat melancarkan pengeluaran ASI pada ibu menyusui sehingga perawatan payudara dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu cara untuk memperlancar pengeluaran ASI.
