Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of interest rates and the amount of money in circulation on the exchange rate in Indonesia. The data used in this study is secondary time series data. Data sources come from agencies related to Exchange Rates, Interest Rates, and Money Supply, namely Bank Indonesia and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for time series from 1999-2021. The analytical technique used is descriptive quantitative. With multiple regression model with OLS (Ordinary Least Square). The results of research on the development of the money supply, interest rates, and exchange rates from 1999-2021 have increased fluctuating and unstable every year. Interest Rate has a positive effect and the Money Supply also has a significant positive effect and has a very large effect on the Exchange Rate. The interest rate coefficient value is -0.000669 with a t-count value of 2.436267 > t-table 2.086 which means it has a positive effect and the coefficient value of the Money Supply is 0.000941 then the t-count is 10,40859.
