Abstract

This research is based by the behavior of parking managers who are less professional in carrying out their duties responsible for order and security as a goal of the implementation of the management of parking lots in traditional market areas and private markets, especially in Plaju Modern Market Palembang. This thesis aims to determine the implementation of Mayor Regulations on the management of parking lots in traditional market areas and private market studies in the Modern Plaju Market Palembang by the Melati Cooperation Center as the manager of Plaju Modern Market Palembang. This study uses qualitative research methods with descriptive analysis. Data obtained from primary data is through interviews with market managers, that is the Head of the Melati Cooperation Center, Head of Retribution, Head of Human Resources, and parking officers, and secondary data through documents obtained related to the management of parking spaces in Plaju Palembang Modern Market area. Based on the results of the analysis and research in the field, it was found that the implementation of the Mayor's Regulation on the management of parking lots in the traditional market area and private market studies in Plaju Modern Market Palembang had not gone well, it was caused by a lack of human resources who served as parking officers. This study provided advice to the implementing parties. The need for additional human resources specifically for parking attendants was carried out by the manager of Plaju Modern Market Palembang. It is also expected that institutions concerned with policy issues, educational institutions focused on social sciences and political sciences, stakeholders and civil society organizations to provide input in a better innovation effort related to parking management policies in traditional market areas and private markets Keywords: Implementation, Management of Parking Lots, Traditional and Private Markets.
