Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of intellectual capital and return on assets on firm value. The intellectual capital variable is calculated using the Value Added Intellectual Coefficient (VAIC) model and the return on assets is calculated by dividing net income by total assets. Then firm value is calculated by Tobin's Q. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling and obtained 22 banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2020 with a total of 5 years of observations. Data analysis techniques using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that partially intellectual capital has a significant positive effect on firm value. And return on assets has a significant positive effect on firm value. Then intellectual capital and return on assets simultaneously affect the value of the company.
