Abstract
Bandwidth usage forecasting is the process of analyzing and determining the amount of data transfer rate in a future bandwidth. The effect caused by changes in data transfer rates has a large impact on the quality of services on a network that users use to communicate. In this study using the method of Self Organizing Maps (SOM) to predict the amount of data transfer rate on a bandwidth. SOM has good learning ability so it has high accuracy. The forecasting stage is the data will be normalized, do training and forecasting with SOM, and then denormalize the forecasting results to get the normal value. Forecasting results have an average accuracy of 98.90%
