Abstract

This study intention to (1) validate whether there is a significant difference between the poetry writing skills of the group of students who participate in learning using the copy the master methode and the group of students who do not participate in learning using the copy the master methode and (2) validate whether the use of the copy the master methode is effective in learning to write poetry of class X students of MA Muqimus Sunnah Palembang. This study uses an experimental method to test the significance/importance of a trialled treatment. The data collection technique in this study was the pretest and posttest methods. The questions in this study were in the form of a poetry writing test. Testing the results of this study using SPSS 25. The data analysis technique used in this study was the t-test with a significance level of 5%. The results of this study indicate that the posttest-free sample t-test analysis of the control group and the experimental group obtained a t- value of -4.007 with a df of 49 and a P of 0.000 (P<0.05). The results of the sample t-test analysis related to the pretest and posttest of the experimental group obtained a t value of -5.313 with a df of 22 and a P of 0.000 (P <0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant difference in the ability to write poetry between the group using the copy the master methode and the group without using the copy the master methode.
