Abstract

This research aims to development of building material learning materials developing flat book for children group B in Aisyiyah kindergarten 19 Flower Garden Palembang. This research aims to development of teaching material to build a flat for the children of group B is valid and practical. In this research use Rowntree development model and Tessmer evaluation. The Rowntree development model consists of three stages: planning stage, development and evaluation. The researchers modified Tessmer's evaluation into four stages because only to see the validity and practicality of the teaching materials that the researcher developed. Data collection techniques used interview, walkthrough, and observation. Walkthrough is done in the beginning to do the validation. Walkthroughs are performed to see the validity of the products made which are addressed to material and media experts. The average value of the validation results of material and media experts on the teaching materials wake up flat is 3.72 with very valid category. The result of observation on the use teaching material to build a flat at one-to-one evaluation stage get 89% average with very practical category. While the results of observation of children to the use of teaching material to build a flat in the small group evaluation stage get an average of 91.4% with very practical category. It is said to be very practical because the teaching material of building a flat that developed is easy to use and the child is able to understand the material without any problem. Based on the description and data analysis of the research results obtained the result that the product teaching materials flat developed by the researcher is very valid and practical so that it can be used as teaching materials in learning materials wake flat for children group B in kindergarten.
