Abstract

This thesis is entitled Phenomenon of Community Dependence on Social Assistance during the Covid-19 Pandemic (study in Karang Endah Village, East Kikim District, Lahat Regency). The purpose of this study is to understand the phenomenon of community dependence on social assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic (study in Karang Endah Village, East Kikim District, Lahat Regency. This study uses phenomenological theory from Albert Schutz. This study uses qualitative research methods with research strategies The collection of Schutz phenomenology. The data was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with 19 informants consisting of 15 main informants and 4 supporting informants and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the phenomenon of community dependence on social assistance Village Cash Direct Assistance (BLT DD) is in the form of the community's desire and their efforts to get the assistance until later on the use of the assistance.The community interprets the BLT DD type of social assistance that is obtained as a form of government concern for people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic who have never received tkan social assistance of any kind from the central government and the cause of the dependence of the community who want to get BLT DD-type social assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic.
