Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the existing manual revenue cycle accounting information system used by Adiwarna Store; and to design a new improved and computerized accounting information system for the same purpose at Adiwarna Store. The subject of this study is the Adiwarna Store, and the object of this study is the Revenue Cycle Accounting Information System of the subject. The scope of this study is to do research and development of a new software. This study aims to produce the design and physical application of an accounting information system applied for the revenue cycle of the object using Microsoft Access 2019. The result of this study indicates that the simple and manual accounting information system of the revenue cycle used by Adiwarna Store is inadequate to provide the information required by the decision-maker and is prone to fraud loopholes. Therefore, a new design of computerized accounting information system for the revenue cycle to fulfill the information is needed. Eventually, the implementation of the new automated system succeeded in providing the information needed and reducing fraud loopholes.
