Abstract
This research is entitled the role of the teacher in stimulating the development of children's art during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a descriptive research method using a qualitative approach. During this pandemic, the learning process was carried out online and face-to-face learning was limited. In order for the learning process to continue as it should, the teacher is looking for ways even during the Covid-19 period. The purpose of this study was to determine the teacher's role in stimulating the development of children's art during the Covid-19 pandemic. Data collection techniques used observation and interviews with teachers of grade B or 5-6 years at the Islamic Kindergarten Al-Kautsar Indralaya. Based on the results of research conducted at the Al-Kautsar Indralaya Islamic Kindergarten, it shows that the lessons provided by teachers to stimulate the development of children's art during the pandemic were not optimal. The activities provided by the teacher to stimulate the development of children's art are only drawing, coloring and tasting. Because drawing and coloring activities are the easiest learning to implement during a pandemic like this, the main reason is because tools and materials are easy to get and children can work independently. Teachers need to pay attention to techniques in assessment so that observations of children's work can be measured properly. Choosing the right method will have a good impact on the effectiveness of learning. Keywords: Development, Fine Arts, Children, Group B, Pandemic Period
