Abstract

This study aims to find out about the teacher's role in stimulating the fine motor development of group b children at TK Bina Bangsa Palembang during the Covid-19 period. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type. This study used qualitative data in the form of words and visual documentation collected through observation and interviews regarding the teacher's role in stimulating the fine motor development of group b children at TK Bina Bangsa Palembang during the Covid-19 period. This study used two research subjects, namely the principal of the Bina Bangsa Kindergarten and teachers who teach in the Palembang Bina Bangsa Kindergarten. The results showed that the teacher's role was to stimulate children's fine motor development, namely by drawing, folding origami, coloring, cutting, mosaic, collage, and making videos about cleanliness. The role of the teacher in stimulating children, namely the teacher acts as a motivator by giving reinforcement to children, the teacher acts as a facilitator, namely providing class facilities and learning media for stimulating children, acting as an innovator to provide new things both media and strategies in stimulating children's fine motor skills, as well as the teacher acts as an evaluator to assess how student learning outcomes are during learning during the Covid-19 period.
