Abstract

This development research aims to develop a work sheet product of classification-based scientific approach for children 5-6 years, and using Dick & Carey media development stage (Identification of need, objective formulation, material development, writing of measurement tool, writing media script, test trial, revision, ready script). Techiqques of data collection using interviews, questionnaires, observations, and item analysis. The questionnaire results from expert media obtained an average of 3.85 excellent categorical results, and material experts of 3.80 very good categories, seen from the results obtained from the product assessment sheets by the two expert validators consisting of elemental conformity, technical and appearance, set material, scientific approach, and assessment guide on LKPD. Based on these results, the product is declared valid and feasible to be tested. The results of observation of the use of products in the prototype (one-to-one trying out) to the teacher to get the percentage of 94.4-100% very good categories, to the children get the percentage of 72.2-87.7% very good categories, as well as observation results of small group evaluation stage to the children get 100% percentage results very good categories, so with the observation results the product is declared practical, it is seen from the ability of teachers and children in using the product. The result of analysis of eighteen questions on LKPD is valid and reliable seen from calculation result rhitung> rtabel, and has index of difficulty about average of medium category (0,333- 0,666). From all stages performed it can be concluded that LKPD product of classification for children 5-6 years declared valid, and practical.
