Abstract
This study aims to determine the nutritional quality of sugarcane tops silage with the addition of 4 Effective Microorganism (EM-4). The study was conducted from August to September 2011 in the Laboratory of Feed and Animal , Faculty of Agriculture, University of Srivijaya. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments used are: TO = Shoot Without treatment Sugarcane (Control), T1 = + 4% Sugarcane shoots EM-4 (v / w), T2 = + 6% Sugar cane shoots EM-4 (v / w), T3 = Shoot Sugarcane + 8% EM-4 (v / w), T4 = Shoot Cane + 10% EM-4 (v / w). Based on the research results can be concluded that a decline in crude fiber (17.42%) loss of dry matter (2.99%) and loss of organic matter (2.76%) sugar cane shoots best with the addition of EM-4 at doses of
