Abstract

ABSTRACT ASI is the nutrition a baby needs to grow and develop optimally. Breastfeeding of ASI is also a form of reducing morbidity and mortality in infants. The family is the determining point and the front line in society for proper and appropriate breastfeeding for babies. Providing health education about breastfeeding of ASI through video media is one way to increase family knowledge about breastfeeding of ASI. The purpose of this writing is to provide family nursing care to families by used video media to increase knowledge about breastfeeding of ASI. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The results of the assessment of the three managed families obtained a nursing diagnosis, namely readiness to increase knowledge related to breastfeeding of ASI. The three managed families have received nursing care with their management, namely the provision of health education about breastfeeding of ASI through video media which can increase family knowledge. Providing health education about breastfeeding of ASI through video media is able to increase family knowledge in proper and appropriate breastfeeding of ASI for babies.
