Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the amount of the effect of product quality consisting of performance, feature, durability, aesthetic and perceived quality on the decision to purchase Dettol liquid hand soap in Palembang. The scope of the research only discussed the effect of product quality on purchasing decisions on Dettol liquid hand soap. The research design was causal associative which consisted of the independent variable (X), namely product quality and the dependent variable (Y), namely purchasing decision. The data used was primary data. The data collection method used in this research was through a questionnaire that was distributed using the Google form. The sampling method was not random (non-probability sampling) with a purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 100 respondents. Based on the results of empirical testing, the effect of the product quality variable (X) on the purchasing decisions variable (Y) simultaneously can be accepted with a significant effect of 84.2%. While the variables of performance, feature, durability, aesthetic and perceived quality partially have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. Keywords: Product Quality, Purchase Decision
