Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the level of Palm Pressed Fiber In Vitro digestibility of stratified ammoniation with biomineral Zn supplementation. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Feed Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University on September until October 2013. This research was used a completely randomized design with four treatments and three replications, which were; Palm Pressed Fiber without ammoniation (Ro), Palm Pressed Fiber with Stratified ammoniation (Ri), Palm Pressed Fiber Stratified ammoniation with 0.2% biomineral Zn supplementation (R2) and Palm Pressed Fiber Stratified ammoniation with 0.3% biomineral Zn supplementation (R3). Parameters observed were Dry Matter Digestibility, Organic Matter Digestibility, concentration and total concentration of Volatile Fatty Acids (VFAs). The results showed that treatment of stratified ammoniation Palm Pressed Fiber with 0.3% biomineral Zn supplementation could increase Dry Matter Digestibility, Organic Matter Digestibility, N-Ammonia concentration and total concentration of Volatile Fatty Acids (VFAs).
