Abstract
Research aims to find out how parents educate, nurture, guide their children in the parenting style they apply to their children. This study uses qualitative research with a case study research type. The research data was collected by in-depth interviews. The validity of the data was tested using a triangulation technique in which the researchers conducted interviews with several parties close to the mothers who worked as commercial sex workers. The sample data source subject interviewed was named Lis (pseudonym) aged 22 and who worked as a commercial sex worker. The next sample as the first informant is an officer or person who is close to the subject of their children's funds and who knows their daily life. The final sample is Mrs. Neng's daughter who lives with her in the Bakung Village area and who is still in grade IV of elementary school. This research was conducted in the Bakung Village area. Qualitative data analysis techniques, which use data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the study show that there are three types of parenting styles applied by parents (mothers) who work as commercial sex workers to their children. The three types of parenting styles are authoritarian parenting styles, permissive parenting styles, and democratic parenting styles. Of these three types that often appear and are applied by parents is the democratic type. Keywords: parenting, children, commercial sex workers
