Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan media big book dalam kegiatan membaca peserta didik di kelas II SDN 11 Indralaya dan untuk mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap kemenarikan media. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan tahap pengembangan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, lembar validasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli media memperoleh persentase 90% dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil validasi ahli memperoleh persentase 93% dengan kategori sangat valid. Pada tahap implementasi dilakukan uji coba secara kelompok besar dengan melibatkan 15 peserta didik. Pada tahap uji coba peserta didik memperoleh persentase 96% dengan kategori sangat menarik. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan media big book dalam kegiatan membaca peserta didik di kelas II SDN 11 Indralaya “Sangat Valid” dan “Sangat Menarik” untuk digunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar dikelas.
