Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive PowerPoint media based on the scientific approach model on the sub-theme of living things characteristics in class III SD Negeri 68 Palembang and also aims to determine the validity and practicality of the media. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 3D model consisting of Define, Design, and Develop. This study validated material, media and practitioners and conducted phase I trials on 1 small group of 8 students and phase II trials on 1 large group of 16 students in class III. The results of the validation assessment from material experts obtained a percentage value of 93.33% which was categorized as very valid. The results of the validation assessment from media experts obtained a percentage value of 94.28% which was categorized as very valid. The results of the validation assessment from practitioners obtained a percentage value of 86.66% which was categorized as very valid. Field trials, the results of students' assessment of the media obtained a percentage value of 96.25% for small groups and 97.18% for large groups which were categorized as very practical. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that PowerPoint media is feasible or valid and practical to use in the learning process.
