Abstract
Sanitation is a global problem. Public places are points of community gathering and can be a source of disease transmission. The traditional market area is one of the clusters of the spread of the Covid-19 disease in various regions because many cases of the Covid-19 Virus were found in market traders, so they must pay attention to the condition of sanitation facilities during the Covid-19 pandemic in preventing disease transmission in the market. This study aims to determine the condition of environmental sanitation facilities during the Covid-19 pandemic at Lematang Market, Lahat Regency. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach in an observational way to get an overview of sanitation conditions. Data analysis used is content analysis. The results of the study show that the market has made efforts to provide sanitation facilities in accordance with healthy market standards but there are several things that do not meet the requirements. Variables with good standards are in the drainage variable where only stagnant water indicators do not meet the requirements, while variables that do not meet the standards are the use of masks in the market area because the indicators that should have not been met. Suggestions from research are for the market to add trash bin facilities and improve bathroom facilities in the context of preventing Covid-19.
