Abstract

The progress of advanced times and modern technology can be utilized and used as well as possible which aims to make work more effective and easier. One of them is by making a house mouse trap that is controlled automatically based on the Internet of Things. This research was developed for the purpose of reducing the number of rat pests in the home environment and making it easier to use and check without endangering the users. This research utilizes a technology called the Wemos D1 microcontroller as a control center for other supporting components. The components are the InfraRed Sensor (PIR) as a motion detector when the mouse enters the trap, the MG995 Servo Motor as the closing component and the trap door opener. Then Wemos D1 will process the data and then send it to the programmed components and display the count data to the Blynk application. The advantage of this research is that it makes the tool easier to use without endangering the user when checking traps because this trap uses the Blynk application as long as the system at the trap is connected to the internet signal network.
