Abstract
COVID-19 can attack anyone regardless of age, including children. The lack of information about prevention the transmission of COVID-19 causes triggers the spread of COVID-19. One of the place at high risk of COVID-19 transmission is school. The efforts that can be done in overcoming these problems is by conduction education through media “GRAVIDATAR”. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education media “GRAVIDATAR” on knowledge and attitude elementary school students about prevention the transmission of COVID-19. This study used quasi experimental with approach pretest-posttest design with control group. The samples were 36 respondents with 18 people in each intervention group and control group. The sampling collected by using probabiliy sampling with cluster sampling technique. Data were collected by using a validated questionnaire. The results of the knowledge analysis of the intervention and control groups using the paired t test obtained a p-value of 0.000, meaning that there was a significant influence on the pretest and posttest knowledge given by the "GRAVIDATAR" media education and leaflets. The results of the analysis of attitudes using Mc Nemar in the intervention group obtained a p-value of 0.002 and the control group obtained a p-value of 0.016 meaning that there was a significant influence on pretest and posttest attitudes given the "GRAVIDATAR" media education and leaflets. Independent t-test to determine the effect of "GRAVIDATAR" media and leaflets on elementary students knowledge, it was concluded that there was a significant effect with a p-value of 0.010. The Mann Whitney test to determine the effect of "GRAVIDATAR" media and leaflets on elementary students' attitudes, it was concluded that there was no significant effect with a p-value of 0.429. Health Education through effective media “GRAVIDATAR” can increase the knowledge and attitudes of elementary school students because this media is modified in such a way as to attract attention and interest, so that it makes students more interested and makes students like playing while learning. GRAVIDATAR” can also be recommended as a method of health education elementary school students about prevention the transmission of COVID-19.
