Abstract

Electrical Energy as a form of utilization of energy sources cannot be separated from the quality of human life and advances in technology. This causes an increase in the demand for this energy. In power plants, limited resources and errors in the electrical system are examples of problems that can occur in power plants. One form to overcome this is to use a generator set. Electrical Energy Power Plant uses a generator as a source of electrical energy with an electric motor as its propulsion. This generator requires a converter to convert the voltage generated by the generator in the form of AC voltage to DC voltage. Supporting components to produce this electrical energy conversion are diode bridges and capacitors. From the test results on the designed power plant, a greater current value is obtained in the converter with the source of the Electric Power Generation and the charging time for the battery up to 13.40 Volts is 5 minutes faster on the Generator compared to the PLN source.
