Abstract
PT Bukit Asam, Tbk. is a company engaged in coal, located in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra. Which is stripping overburden using Drilling and blasting systems. The Fragmentation results less diverse will potentially suboptimal volume stuffing bucket. Air deck use 1 m from powder charge to makes air cavities in the explosives that create energy confinement and reduced gas expenses cavity vertically. This will cause detonation will yield energy around hole and explosive blasting fragmentation more uniform than blasting without Air deck. Blasting without Air deck using geometry burden 7 m, space 8 m, depth holes 7 m, bore holes 47 holes, stemming 4.1 m, and powder charge 2.9 m. blasting without air deck get use of explosives as many as 3,588 kg and volume explosion of 18,424 Bcm, powder factor 0.195 kg/bcm. The results of the fragmentation obtained through application split desktop 2.0 brings about the largest average material is 1969,38 mm. Blasting on air deck using the same geometry with the blasting of non air deck. Results of blasting fragmentation of air deck the largest average material are 1234,47 mm Kata Kunci : Air Deck Blasting, Non Air Deck Blasting, Fragmentation
