Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effecto Lamtoro and Indigofera Leaves Substitution on in Bento Rayap (Leersia Hexandra) Grass to Gas Produksi, VFA, and Total Bakteria Rumen. This research was conducted from July 2022 to August 2022 at the Animal Feed and Nutrition Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Study Program, Department of Animal Husbandry Technology and Industry, Siwijaya University. This research was conducted using the in vitro method. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment given was the addition of Bento Termite Grass, Lamtoro leaves, Indigofera, and Concentrate. The ingredients for the concentrate consist of fine bran, refined corn, tofu dregs, mineral mix, salt and urea. The treatment given was R0: 70% Bento Termite Grass + 30% Concentrate. R1 : 40% Bento Grass, Termites + 30% Concentrate + 30% Lamtoro. R2 : 40% Bento Grass, Termites + 30% Concentrate + 30% Indigofera. R3 : 40% Bento Grass, Termites + 30% Concentrate + 15% Lamtoro + 15% Indigofera. Parameters observed were Gas Production, VFA, and Total Rumen Bacteria. The results of this study indicate that the treatment with effecto Lamtoro and Indigofera Leaves Substitution on in Bento Rayap (Leersia Hexandra) Grass to Gas Produksi, VFA, and Total Bakteria Rumen had a significant effect (P<0.05) on Gas Production, VFA, and Total Bacteria Rumen. The conclusion from this study was that the best treatment was found in R1, namely substitution of 40% Bento Grass Termites + 30% Concentrate + 30% Lamtoro produced the highest VFA, namely 138.909 mM, and the highest Total Rumen Bacteria, namely 8.983 (x 1010 cfu/ml), while in Production Gas produces the lowest value, namely 34.125 mL/hour.
