Abstract
This study aims to prove the effectiveness of the implementation of the School Field Introduction (PLP) program on the motivation to become professional teachers in students of economics education at FKIP Sriwijaya University for the 2019 academic year. The samples in this study were all Economics Education students at FKIP Sriwijaya University for the 2019 academic year, totaling 65 people. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Instrument validity was carried out using the Product Moment Correlation formula and reliability testing using Cronbach's Alpha. The data analysis technique in this study used the results of a questionnaire made by the researcher. The results of the study showed that there was an effect of the implementation of the School Field Introduction (PLP) program on the motivation to become a professional teacher in Economics Education students at FKIP Sriwijaya University. This is shown by the magnitude of the calculation results of partial hypothesis testing (t-test) obtained by tcount 10.986 ≥ ttable 1.669 implementation of the School Field Introduction (PLP) program affects motivation to become a professional teacher, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The results of the calculation of the determinant coefficient (r2) obtained a result of 0.6570, indicating that the motivation to become a professional teacher in Economics Education students at the Sriwijaya University FKIP in the 2019 academic year was influenced by 65.7% by the implementation of the School Field Introduction (PLP) program, while the remaining was 34 .3% is influenced by other variables that are not examined in this study.
