Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of HOTS-based learning media application in increasing students' interest in learning at MTs Darul Ulum Karangsari. This shows a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design method. The population in this study amounted to 125 students. The sampling technique used a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling type with a total sample of 62 students. Data collection techniques in this study used documentation, observation, questionnaires and tests. The results showed that the hypothesis test was carried out using an independent sample t-test with the help of SPSS version 26 and obtained a significance value of 0.001 with a sig. (α) 0.05. This showed that the results obtained are sig. < α (0.001 < 0.05), then the decision taken is that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the application of HOTS-based learning media in increasing students' interest in learning at MTs Darul Ulum Karangsari.
