Abstract
Sungsang Estuary is the estuary of Musi River. Sungsang Estuaries receive a lot of organic materials from many activities around the waters. Those indirectly will affect to chemical-physics condition in waters and will impacts the growth of phytoplankton which is reflected by the concentration of chlorophyll-a in waters. The purposes of this study were to analyze the concentration of chlorophyll-a and nutrients (nitrate and phospate), then to determine the relation between them and environmental parameters in Sungsang Estuary. The study was conducted on August 2017. Sampling process using purposive sampling method. The result of measurement chlorophyll-a consentration, nutriens (nitrate and phospate), phytoplankton and chemical-physics parameters were processed using surfer software 9.0 for created it distribution. Data analysis using multiple regression and linier regression with SPSS 16.0 version. The result showed concentrations of cholorophyll-a and nutrients in Sungsang estruaries fall into the category of mesothrophic waters. Distribution of chlorophyll-a and nutrient concentration in Sungsang estruaries spread evenly. Analysis of chlorophyll-a regression with waters parameters affects 76,2% on chlorophyll-a concentration, where as regeression analysis chlorophyll-a with phytoplankton affects 59,7% of the chlorophyll-a concentrations.
