Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan pengaruh media pembelajaran mind mapping terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran ekonomi di SMA Negeri 11 Palembang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang menggunakan desain penelitian True Eksperimental Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X IPS di SMA Negeri 11 Palembang pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 275 peserta didik. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling Cluster Random Sampling yang dilakukan secara acak kemudian terpilih kelas X IPS 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 40 peserta didik dan kelas X IPS 2 sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 39 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu observasi dan angket. Teknik analisis data angket diperoleh untuk mengukur motivasi belajar peserta didik dan teknik analisis data observasi diperoleh dari observer pada saat kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan statistik parametris yaitu uji Korelasi Pearson Product Moment, Koefisien Determinan dan Uji-t menggunakan rumus Polled Varians dan diperoleh thitung > ttabel (37,5 > 0,728) yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media pembelajaran mind mapping terhadap motivasi peserta didik pada mata pelajaran ekonomi di SMA Negeri 11 Palembang. Disarankan untuk melibatkan peserta didik dalam membuat mind mapping agar peserta didik dapat mengasah kemampuannya dalam kreativitas. Kata Kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Mind Mapping, Motivasi Belajar
