Abstract
Abstract: This research aims to know the values that are contained in the custom of marriage in Tanjung Batu Regency Ogan Ilir, who became a social situation in this research is the "values in custom weddings in district Ogan Ilir Regency Tanjung Batu "with details: the village of Tanjung Batu subdistrict of Tanjung Batu as a place that is examined, the communities that live in the village of Tanjung Batu as the perpetrator, and attitudes/habits of the community in customary marriages containing values as the activity is examined. The sample is obtained by using the technique of non-probability sampling is purposive with a number of informants as many as twelve persons comprising the villagers of Tanjung Batu. The validity of the tests carried out in this study was a test of credibility, transferabilitas test, test test dependabilitas, and konfirmabilitas. Data collection techniques used are documentation, interviews and observation. Data analysis technique used is the reduction of the data, the presentation of data, and the withdrawal of the conclusion as well as verification. From the data analysis of documentation, interviews and observation may be aware that the values in the custom wedding at Tanjung Batu village of Tanjung Batu i.e. aesthetic value, social value, as well as religious values.
