Abstract

The necessity for a place to live or we usually call with home will never end. The number of property developers or individuals who sell a house or residence make the society have many choices for deciding the new house that they will buy and make it as their residence. There are so many things that considered by the society in deciding the new house. Everyone has their own dream house criteria such as the spacious land area, the building type, the house location and the most important is the price. Moreover, the society also have difficulty for deciding the new house due the limited time and the ability that they have to find a new house. According to the problems that stated before the writer decided to do a research with the title Implementation of Weighted Product Method In Decision Support System for Choosing New Residence With Location Mapping Visualization ( Case Study : Palembang, Indonesia ) which can be used by the society in deciding their new residence. With the existence of this decision support system and the location mapping visualization the society will be easier for deciding the criteria of their dream house and to find the house location that they want.
