Abstract
This research is a descriptive research which aims to describe students‟ mathematical communication skill on trigonometric material by using PMRI approach. The subjects of this research are the 10th graders of Senior High School number 1 Indralaya consisting of 32 students. The learning process will be customized with the principle and characteristics of PMRI approach. The technique used for collecting data of this research is an observation and written test which includes of three essay questions. Based on the research result, it is obtained the result of students‟ mathematical communication skill on trigonometric material by using PMRI approach is categorized well with the details as the follow: students who have excellent mathematical communication skill are as much as 4 people, 14 students have mathematical communication skill with category good, 8 students have mathematical communication skill with category medium, and students who have less mathematical communication skill are as much as 5 people. Indicator of mathematical communication skill with the highest percentage is to understand the mathematical ideas that exist in the problem; while the lowest written indicator of mathematical communication skill is draw a conclusions, compile evidence, giving a reason or proof to the solution.
