Abstract

Dalam Penelitian ini, membahas tentang studi mengenai nilai koefisien permeabilitas (k) atau Notasi kemampuan air untuk melewati media berupa tanah. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan alat Falling Head Permeameter. Sampel tanah yang diteliti adalah tanah lempung (kohesif) dari beberapa wilayah yang ada di kota Palembang (Sako, Bukit Besar, dan Km.5). Nilai k yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini berkisar antara 1,139 x 10"6 - 2,288 x 10"6 cm/dt untuk ketiga lokasi sampel. Dari grafik segitiga yang digunakan pada klasifikasi tanah menurut Lower Missisipi Valley, tanah objek penelitian yang memiliki kadar lempung pada angka 79,3 % dan 81,3 % memiliki nilai koefisien permeabilitas pada angka 10"6 cm/s.pada klasifikasi ini (Lower Missipi Valley), tanah yang memiliki kadar lempung lebih dari 50 % dikategorikan dalam tanah lempung.
