Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Note Taking Guided strategy (GNT) to the learning outcomes of students in the respiratory system material in class XI SMAN 3 Tanjung Raja. The method used was Quasi-Experimental Design with the study design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Determination of Non-Probability Sampling samples using a sample that is saturated with the sample that is class XI Mathematics 1 as an experimental class, and class XI MIPA 2 as the control class, the number of students of each grade 31 learners. Methods of data collection is done by the test in the form of multiple choice questions with five possible answers of 20 questions. Data were analyzed using SPSS 23. The data were analyzed with the Shapiro-Wilk test and continued with Levene test and the last test-t. The results showed that there was a significant increase in learning outcomes, with a significance value of 0.000. Average value of the initial test is30.64, Final test 72.74 with the category average index gain of 42.09. Based on these results can disimpulka that learning by using Guided Note Taking strategies to improve learning outcomes of students in the respiratory system material in class XI SMAN 3 Tanjung Raja.
